Start-up fitness franchise Fitness Matters is set to double their centre offering by the end of this year after engaging the services of a franchise advisory firm to assist with business development.
Founded in 2007 Fitness Matters is a boutique style health and fitness centre franchise which currently operates six stores across Queensland and New South Wales.
Paul Tiller, Franchise Consultant at Scancorp, said the firm aimed to strengthen the franchise’s position in the industry.
“By securing locations where there’s a lack of health and fitness services, Fitness Matters is offering aspiring franchisees strong growth potential in terms of local membership take-up,” he said.
“The level of investment ranges from approximately $250,000 to $400,000 with an estimated return-on-investment of 30 to 60 percent to a working owner on initial capital.
“We want to raise awareness of the benefits this investment opportunity can offer potential franchisees and push the number of Fitness Matters outlets from six to 12 by the end of this year.”
Mr Tiller said his main focus would be franchisee recruitment and business investment support to the Buyer as well marketing services for the Franchisors business opportunities.
“A key role for us in the recruitment process will be sitting down with potential franchisees and clarifying what they can expect when buying into a franchise.”
“We can also provide guidance in the start-up process and offer advice on preliminary local marketing activities that can be undertaken to build a presence in the community.”
“Despite a large number of fitness chains competing in the major metropolitan markets, our research indicates areas under serviced or not serviced at all in the market in the more suburban and regional territories which Fitness Matters is targeting.”
