RFG and Arnott’s unite to develop new treats

Retail Food Group has joined forces with Australian icon Arnott’s to create a range of new treats drawing on the popularity of Arnott’s biscuit flavours.
 
Retail Food Group owns the Donut King, Michel’s Patisserie, Brumby’s Bakeries and bb’s cafe systems, which together operate more than 1,000 stores across Australia.
 
To date, the partnership has seen the development of:
·         Sundaes (Donut King) incorporating Arnott’s Tiny Teddy, Tee Vee Snacks and Caramel Crowns
·         Muffins (bb’s cafe) featuring Arnott’sTim Tam, Mint Slice and Gingernut
·         Tim Tam Chocolate Cake (Michel’s Patisserie).
 
Retail Food Group Chief Marketing Officer Nicole Dodd said the partnership between the two companies had spurred the creation of a new range of products for consumers.
 
“This is a great synergy of two major leading Australian brands banding together to bring fun and tasty foods,” she said.
 
“We’ve been conducting significant research and development to capitalise on the popularity of the Arnott’s biscuit flavours and to identify new ways to incorporate these flavours into the products we produce.
 
“Arnott’s biscuits are traditionally enjoyed at home, but by creating new treats with these biscuits we have given consumers the option of enjoying them outside the home.
 
“All the RFG brands – Donut King, Michel’s Patisserie, Brumby’s and bb’s cafe – will continue to develop new Arnott’s-flavoured products for their menus in the coming months to increase their variety options to consumers.”
 
As Australia’s largest specialty donut and coffee chain, Donut King operates more than 300 stores across Australia, employing over 4,600 staff and serving 30 million donuts to Australians every year.
 
There are around 40 bb’s cafes operating across Australia, employing over 400 staff and serving over 1.5 million cups of coffee a year.
 
Brumby’s operates more than 300 stores across Australia, employing over 3,300 staff and serving more than 700,000 Australians a week.   
 
There are more than 340 Michel’s Patisserie stores operating across Australia, employing about 3,100 staff and serving around 26 million cups of coffee and 9.5 million slices of cake each year.
