Last month saw the appointment of Carol Lacey as the new Baskin-Robbins National Supply Chain Manager and member of the Senior Leadership Team for the brand.

Over the past three months, Baskin-Robbins has strategically appointed some of the top achievers in the industry in its senior management team and is now geared to grow the ice cream chain network.

Most recently holding the role of Distribution and Operations Manager for Nestle Australia, Carol compliments the Baskin-Robbins team with over 15 years’ experience in the supply chain for retail, independents, wholesalers and distributors within the both the food and beverage sectors.

With David Jordan, General Manager of Baskin-Robbins Australia, at the helm of this new management team, Baskin-Robbins now has the right team aligned for achievement.

“Product supply and distribution is absolutely critical for a franchise business that is spread across a country as vast as Australia, so, Carol’s appointment could not come at a more appropriate time. Carol will play a key role in Baskin-Robbins strategic growth by effectively managing our supply chain across the country in order to meet the demand for our premium, quality ice cream and desserts,” said Jordan.

“Carol’s immediate focus will be to ensure our supply chain and 3PL partners are ready to meet the strong sales growth we anticipate over the spring and summer periods. I also look forward to the contribution Carol will make through delivering a more cost effective COG (Cost of Goods) model for our franchise partners ensuring them greater returns.”

With store growth of more than 25% per year planned for the next three years, Jordan commented “We have great confidence that Carols experience will place Baskin Robbins in a strong position to add further value to our expanding network.”

Baskin-Robbins opened three new concept stores last month, with the newest one being Forest Lake in Queensland, the store performance already places it in the top 10 performing Baskin-Robbins stores in Australia.

“We are very excited about the design and feedback from guests of our new concept stores. We are looking forward to opening a further 6 of these new concept stores before the end of this year,” says Jordan.
