Last week, sushi superstars from around the country descended on The Star casino in Sydney for Pacific Retail’s Annual Franchise Partner Conference.

Franchise partners, together with their managers, came from as far away as Karratha and as close as Sydney to be a part of this year’s conference. The two day conference concluded with an awards dinner on the Friday night, franchise partners, store managers and team members were recognised for their hard work, consistent performance and outstanding achievements over the past year including some fun awards from team building activities over the 2 days.

Longest standing franchise partners Mark and Kathy Blake were awarded the store growth award for their Go Sushi store in Noosa, Manager of the Year went to Leah Newell from Go Sushi & Kick Juice Armidale and the Franchise Partner of the Year recognised for his marketing efforts was Go Sushi & Kick Juice Tamworth franchise partner, Ian Hocquard.

The big award of the night, Franchise Partner of the Year for Operations, went to Go Sushi & Kick Juice Broome store owner, Peter Wrigley, who took out this award for his commitment and dedication to his store throughout the year and going above and beyond to make it a success.

“I found that we were provided with a lot of valuable information from all areas of support, lots of reminders on the things we can get complacent on, and some exciting new innovations to push our sales ahead. Winning the Franchise Partner in Operations of the Year, and the Team of the Year awards were a highlight and just shows how rewarding it is to push your store and staff to succeed daily. Congratulations to all involved, and good luck for another fantastic year of sales.”
