Gold Coast based Crust Gourmet Pizza Bar has signed on as a key sponsor of the city’s premier AFL team, the Gold Coast SUNS.
The sponsorship will see the Crust Gourmet Pizza Bar logo on the players match day apparel and a number of activations at Metricon Stadium including the sale of Crust’s gourmet pizzas within the precinct.
With a network of over 140 outlets, Crust is known across the country for its use of premium ingredients to create premium handcrafted gourmet pizzas with unique flavour combinations.
Crust Gourmet Pizza Bar Managing Director Michael Rose said the sponsorship would allow Crust to gain national exposure while supporting its home team.
“Based on the Gold Coast and Australian born and bred; Crust is proud to support our local GC SUNS team and AFL, Australia’s national sport,” said Mr Rose.
Crust’s sponsorship of the Gold Coast SUNS comes after the team revealed Crust pizza is their preferred post-match meal, as the pizza forms a part of the players recovery and refuelling strategies after a match.
GC SUNS Chief Executive Officer Travis Auld said he is thrilled to announce the partnership.
“The Gold Coast SUNS welcome Crust to our ever growing portfolio of partners,” said Mr Auld.
“This significant partnership stretches both on and off the field, with the Crust Gourmet Pizza Bar logo on our on-field apparel and plenty of co-branded activations within the Metricon Precinct for our Members on match day.”
