7-Eleven, Australia’s leading convenience retailer has been named the Established Franchisor of the Year in the MYOB Excellence in Franchising Awards 2009 for the second consecutive year.
7-Eleven was recognised for its excellence in franchising practice, the strong emphasis it places on franchisee partnerships and continued growth in the past year.
The annual Established Franchisor of the Year award recognises best-practice in business franchising, recognising the economic value of a strong franchising sector in Australia.
7-Eleven CEO, Warren Wilmot said he was delighted to have won the award back-to-back.
“I’d like to acknowledge the hard work of all our franchisees and employees who have helped 7-Eleven reaffirm its position as the best franchisor in the country. This award is owned by every employee, franchisee and store staff member.
“We’re in the third year of our five year, $33 million, ‘Energising Everyone’ plan, and we’re beginning to reap the rewards of that program,” he said.
“The award is testament to the strength of our franchise system, the quality of the people working for us and 7-Eleven’s commitment to its franchisees,” Mr Wilmot said.
“We are proud of our achievements over the last year and continue to be excited by our achievements yet to come.
“But we’re not finished yet. We want to be the best for decades to come for our franchisees, customers and employees,” Mr Wilmot concluded.
