The Townsville community has been treated to a taste of the Mediterranean with the unveiling of the state’s first Skewerz Kebabz store last Friday.
Skewerz Kebabz is the newest brand to join the Aktiv Brands portfolio which includes Bucking Bull Roast & Grill and se7en Gourmet Takeaway.
Part of the $180 million redevelopment at Stockland Townsville, the Skewerz store is not only the first eastern location for the brand, but the first to debut its revitalized menu and branding.
“We’ve spent a significant amount of time and money developing a brand that has a unique menu offering filled with flavour, style and authenticity.” says Aktiv Brands Managing Director, Stuart Beechen.
“We’ve diversified our product range to offer much more than just your average Kebab, but a variety of flavours inspired by the Mediterranean. “
The new menu includes Gyroz, Grillerz, Skewerz and Dips as well as the traditional range of Kebabz.
“We have deliberately included a number of vegetarian options within the menu, which I believe sets us apart from most kebab brands in the market,” says Stuart.
As with all the brands in the Aktiv portfolio, Skewerz Kebabz is 100% Australian owned and grown, and will take advantage of the group’s successful business systems and franchise assistance.
Aktiv Brands also recently acquired the West Australian brand, The Kebab Co, with plans of converting these sites to Skewerz in the coming months.
The first of these conversions took place earlier this week, with the opening of Skewerz Carillon City in Perth’s CBD.
“It’s full steam ahead for the rest of the year as we work to convert the 7 remaining Kebab Co stores to Skewerz.”
The recent store openings bring the number of stores in the Aktiv Brands portfolio to 44.
