Since launching in Russia in May this year, Nanotek Car Cleaning (under it’s ‘ecowash mobile’ brand) has already captured the imagination of the nation with a no.4 ranking in Russia’s ‘most popular’ franchises list.

The list was compiled by independent website www.franch.biz which is the largest internet franchising resource in Russia and the CIS providing objective information about the franchise sector.

Having just returned from Russia’s ‘Buy Brand’ franchise show in Moscow, Nanotek CEO Jim Cornish was thrilled by the response, “We’ve attended franchise shows all over the world but the interest we generated in Moscow was beyond anything we’d seen before.”

Nanotek’s entry into Russia has been perfectly timed to coincide with the Russian Government’s focus on nanotechnology.

“On the 26th of October we will exhibit at Russia’s first nanotechnology exhibition” said Tamene Goshu, Managing Director of Ecowash Mobile CIS. “In order to qualify for this exhibition we had to demonstrate our use of nanotechnology as part of our car cleaning process. Not only does our liquid polymer nanotechnology provide a superior result, it saves water and means we can wash a car anywhere!”

In Australia, demand for the mobile Nanotek car cleaning service continues to increase.

“We have added 6 cars to our corporate fleet in the last 9 months just to keep up.” said Jim Cornish “We just need more franchisees to help!”

Cornish, who is also a Director on the Board of the Franchise Council of Australia is optimistic about the franchising climate in Australia.

“It simply comes down to the confidence of prospective franchisees.” said Cornish “The GFC is more psychological than economic – we have record low unemployment and record high savings. Once the dark cloud of the ‘GFC’ lifts, the conditions are perfect for another franchising boom. There are a lot of people out there who want the freedom and lifestyle of their own business within the security of a proven business model, and that’s franchising.”

Nanotek uses spray-on liquid polymer nano technology that encapsulates, lubricates and lifts dirt from the paint surface resulting in a high quality finish and a protective polymer coating that lasts up to six weeks. The process requires no water which means that Nanotek can clean a car anywhere (and saves 180L of water per wash based on Sydney Water figures).

Originally founded in Australia in 2004, Nanotek now operates in more than 12 countries around and the world (most recently launching in Belgium and Luxembourg) and is one of the most awarded franchise systems in Australia.
