Australia’s largest franchised signage group, SIGNARAMA is adding independent operators to the brand with the recent conversion of Starclub Print and Sign Centre in Gympie Queensland into a SIGNARAMA store. This is the first such conversion for the group, with several more expected in the near future.

Proprietors Justin and Kerryn Brown have owned the Gympie store for five years and they’ve focused primarily on signage for the last two. They felt restricted in their capabilities as solo operators after turning down jobs they felt were too large and they decided their best strategy was to add value to the business with a known brand. After several months of thorough research, SIGNARAMA stood out as offering the best support.

“SIGNARAMA has given us new confidence to expand the business as we can draw on the 20 plus years experience the group has behind it,” said Justin. “We previously had to turn down quite a few big jobs because I didn’t have the know-how to do them. Now we have the support we need.

“We’re already seeing the benefits of the group’s purchasing power, because we’re paying significantly less than we were as an independent sign store for signage products and other purchases such as insurance and marketing materials. The immediate increase in revenue far outweighs the introduction of royalty fees.

“It’s great to feel like we’re a part of a group and to be able to draw on the experience and expertise of others. We’re looking forward to taking this business to the next stage.”

SIGNARAMA is the world’s largest signage franchise with almost 90 stores in Australia and 900 internationally. Its part of the United Franchise Group, which has more than 1,450 franchise locations in 50 countries, making it one of the largest franchise groups internationally.
