Springtime is synonymous with warmer weather, rising spirits and the start of social season. To celebrate, Spanish chocolate cafe San Churro has released a new menu full of refreshing and fun

“When the sun starts shining, Australians love getting out and about and often find themselves socialising over food. Everyone loves the classics like ice cream sundaes and shakes and that’s what San Churro does best!” said Katrina Grant, San Churro spokesperson.

“Using trending ingredients and a healthy dose of fun and nostalgia, we have put a creative spin on these traditional summer staples to create an innovative and delicious range of refreshing drinks and light, summery treats that friends will love to share.”

San Churro is Australia’s sweetest destination for socialising and with more than 100 items on offer, most designed for sharing, there’s something delicious to suit all palates and preferences this summer.

Ice cream sundaes are a beloved summer indulgence and get a fun and premium makeover at San Churro -choosing one is a delicious dilemma! The new Chocoholic’s Sundae ($12.95) is a show-stopper, made with one whole chocolate brownie, chocolate fudge, melted chocolate and couverture chocolate ice cream. The new Raspberries & Cream Sundae ($12.95) was inspired by the iconic Australian Iced Vovo biscuit and is a refreshing combination of white chocolate ice cream, shortbread crumble, raspberry jam coulis, coconut and fluffy pavlova meringue.

couverture chocolate, customers can choose from 10 fanciful flavours including the Peanut Butter Besos, Salted Choc Coconut, Cookie Cha Cha and the fruity new Raspberry Ripe made with dark chocolate, real raspberries and coconut (all $8.95). The new Jaffa’licious made with dark chocolate, mandarin and Jaffa lollies will have choc-orange fans feeling refreshed and satisfied this summer.

Innovative iterations of retro desserts like the banoffee pie and pavlova also feature on the new summer menu. The Choc Macarova ($12.95) is part macaron (biscuit) and part pavlova (meringue), drizzled in milk chocolate and topped with cream & raspberries. The Banana Caramel Pie ($11.95) is a deconstructed banoffee pie made with San Churro’s exclusive Spanish caramel, banana, melted chocolate, shortbread crumble and meringue.

Fancy a light and fruity drink? San Churro also offers a range of icy cold and refreshing real fruit smoothies ($6.95) and mocktails ($7.95). For a fresh tropical treat try the new Pina Colada Mocktail. The new range of premium Iced Teas ($5.95) available in lemon with fresh mint and peach with raspberries are guaranteed to quench your thirst on a hot day.
