Masterchef’s infamous crochembouche challenge has inspired Australia’s second largest pizza maker, Eagle Boys Pizza, to create the nation’s first profiterole pizza in what is also a national pizza chain industry first.
A marriage made in a heavenly kitchen, Eagle Boys has joined Australia’s two great loves in wholly decadence to create the Australian pizza chain’s first family size dessert pizza, the Profiterizza.
Eagle Boys New Product Development Manager and Executive Chef, Stuart Gray said the pizza chain’s new Profiterizza was developed to deliver more decadence for consumers’ dollar.
“As family budgets are being stretched, pizza lovers should not have to pay more for a slice of dessert decadence – and that’s why Eagle Boys have developed the indulgent Profiterizza,” Mr Gray said.
“With each slice of Eagle Boys Profiterizza, Australian sweet tooths are privy to a delectable infusion of delicious dessert delicacies like Bavarian custard, strawberries, chocolate fudge sauce and patisserie crème filled profiteroles, ensuring it’s a dessert that can be shared with the whole family,” he said.
“Research has shown that while our customers love Eagle Boys’ traditional real taste, real size and real value menu offerings, they’re continually looking for something different, delicious and decadent to satisfy their tastebuds.”
Eagle Boys CEO Todd Clayton said Eagle Boys was constantly updating its menu to give Australians the menu innovation, fresh ingredients and real value they had come to expect.
“Eagle Boys’ latest dessert sets an industry trend for menu innovation in the dessert stakes, trumping competitors’ attempts to outdo Eagle Boys “real taste” claim,” Mr Clayton said.
“Not only is Eagle Boys securing a reputation for bigger pizzas, we’re also fast securing a name for bringing quality and innovation back to the dinner table through real ingredients and real taste,” he said.
Eagle Boys Pizza is Australia’s second largest pizza maker and is 100% Australian-owned. It operates more than 340 franchised stores throughout Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia, the ACT, and the Northern Territory, employing more than 8,000 staff and making more than 18 million pizzas a year.
