Eagle Boys franchise eyes top spot with Online Training College

Australian Franchise News – 20-10-10

Eagle Boys has become the first major Australian pizza chain to offer franchisee and staff training through a dedicated Online Training College, launched this week.
Designed to equip franchisees and staff with the best industry skills possible, the interactive online training portal is also expected to drive consistency, customer service and profitability across the Eagle Boys network.
While other major retail food outlets like Subway, Hungry Jacks, and Red Rooster offer online training, Eagle Boys has become the first major pizza chain to recognise recent figures which show that 21 per cent of higher education is now completed online.
Eagle Boys Managing Director Todd Clayton said the new Online Training College would streamline training operations and make professional development opportunities more accessible for franchisees and staff.
“The new online training platform is an interactive professional development mecca, handling everything from store induction training to Eagle Boys’ new accredited training courses,” Todd said.
“For Eagle Boys national office and franchisees, the online system will allow us to monitor participation rates, conduct assessment, archive results, deliver training for new products and promotions quickly to the network, issue certificates for successful course completions, and rollout a diverse array of training opportunities.
“The online arena also presents an opportunity to offer a greater portfolio of government accredited courses, placing us in the same league as McDonald’s, above all other major retail food outlets in terms of staff development.”
Eagle Boys franchisees will have access to accredited training from Certificate II in Hospitality right through to a Diploma of Management.
Eagle Boys Pizza is Australia’s second largest pizza maker and is 100% Australian-owned. It operates more than 330 franchised stores throughout Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia, the ACT, and the Northern Territory, employing more than 8,000 staff and making more than 17 million pizzas a year.
