With rebuilding and repairs taking place across Queensland, Australia’s second largest pizza maker has announced its Innisfail store is on-track with cyclone recovery efforts.

One of a number of Innisfail businesses directly affected by category five Tropical Cyclone Yasi, Eagle Boys Pizza is relieved to announce that its Innisfail team are safe and working hard, with the store set to reopen in the next couple of weeks.

Eagle Boys CEO Todd Clayton said the company had been quick to support recovery efforts across the state, helping to get Eagle Boys franchises across the network back on track without delay.

“Eagle Boys has constantly been looking for ways to assist franchisees and the broader community with the flood and cyclone recovery efforts currently in play across Queensland,” Mr Clayton said.

“Eagle Boys has already provided more than $70,000 worth of financial support to franchisees, evacuees and volunteers affected by recent statewide floods, and is currently working with store owners in North Queensland to ensure they re-open as soon as possible,” Mr Clayton said.

While 22 Eagle Boys stores have been directly affected by Tropical Cyclone Yasi suffering temporary closures and minor structural damage, Eagle Boys Innisfail will be the last store to reopen due to ongoing repairs.

Mr Clayton said Eagle Boys had made the natural disaster recovery efforts a priority for its franchise network.

“We’re committed to supporting the franchisees and communities which support Eagle Boys,” he said.

“Eagle Boys Innisfail is on-track to reopen within the next couple of weeks. With the reopening, hungry locals will have their first taste of our exciting new gourmet menu items.”
Eagle Boys Pizza is Australia’s second largest pizza maker and is 100% Australian-owned. It operates more than 335 franchised stores throughout Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia, the ACT, and the Northern Territory, employing more than 8,000 staff and making more than 17 million pizzas a year.
