Catering to the demand for premium pizzas without the gourmet price tag, Eagle Boys has tapped into Australia’s increasingly sophisticated taste buds and launched a new Premium range of pizzas.
Including ingredients like steak, prawns, feta, Kalamata olives, and shaved parmesan cheese, the Premium range was developed by Eagle Boy’s dedicated chef Melanie Townsend and includes pizzas like Zesty Lemon Prawn, Chicken Club and Mediterranean.
Eagle Boys Managing Director Todd Clayton said the turbulent economy, coupled with changing Australian tastebuds, had seen the humble pizza graduate from casual footy nights to dinner parties in the past 12 months.
“Pizza has come a long way since the modest margarita or pepperoni pizzas last century. Australia is exposed to a range of diverse cultures and foods from our multicultural heritage, and our tastebuds have grown to crave an eclectic mix of flavours and unique ingredients as a result,” he said.
“Aussie pizza lovers want high quality ingredients on their pizzas, but at the same time they need to feed their family without breaking the bank. People don’t always want to pay and simply can’t afford to pay $20+ for a single pizza.
“Surprisingly, despite the growing number of pizza chains in Australia eager to grab their own slice of the gourmet market, none of them provided premium pizzas at an affordable price.
“Seeing the gap in the market, Eagle Boys created its Premium range of pizzas to cater to the demand for great quality pizzas with premium toppings, but without the gourmet price tag.
