Australia’s largest embroidery, promotional and branding franchise, EmbroidMe, recently donated $25,000 worth of decorated apparel and promotional items to Not-for-Profits and Charities across the country via its inaugural EmbroidMe Community Fund.
“The Community Fund was designed to help give something back to our communities around the country,” says Evan Foster, Australian Director of United Franchise Group, franchisor of EmbroidMe. “There are so many organisations out there doing great work on a shoestring budget, so we wanted to see where we could help.”
In its first year of accepting applications for grants from the Community Fund, the EmbroidMe group received 190 applications across the country, and were able to award grants to 16 organisations across every state. Some of the items supplied include uniforms, embroidered polo shirts, screen printed t-shirts, branded bags and promotional items such as pens, caps and water bottles.
“We’ve had such a positive response in our first year of having the fund,” says Foster. “Even applicants that were unsuccessful have said that they will definitely be applying next year. We’ll certainly be running the program next year – it has been such a worthwhile experience for all of us.”
