Hoyts partnership drives Eagle Boys Express expansion

As part of its plans to expand its Express store network, Eagle Boys Pizza is partnering with leading brands, venues and locations to deliver fast, tasty pizza for customers on the go.

Eagle Boys Pizza has joined forces with Hoyts Cinemas to open Eagle Boys Express kiosks at its cinema in Penrith and Charlestown with another to follow soon in Carousel.

Already located in airports, service stations, convenience stores and other high-traffic areas, the Express kiosks offer seven-inch pizzas and additional sides options.

Eagle Boys CEO Todd Clayton said partnerships with high-traffic entertainment destinations like Hoyts would fuel expansion and attract new customers to the Eagle Boys brand.

“While we’re the second largest pizza chain nationally, we’re still seeking to identify more opportunities to satisfy customer demand as we work towards the number one spot,” he said.
“Partnerships like that with Hoyts Cinemas enables Eagle Boys to deliver real taste, real size, and real value pizzas to more of our hungry customers.

“Pizza and movies have long been partners, and now cinema-goers can also enjoy a tasty treat while watching the latest blockbuster outside of the home.”

Hoyts CEO Delfin Fernandez said “The treats we serve our guests at Hoyts play a crucial part in the overall cinema experience. With Eagle Boys, we have introduced a well-known and much-loved Australian brand. Their pizzas will satisfy the desires of those guests who want a more substantial meal while they watch their movie.”

“The palates of Australian cinema-goers are becoming more diverse. There is definitely a trend towards hot food and the introduction of Eagle Boys pizzas demonstrates Hoyts’ commitment to offering our guests the highest quality.”

“Historically, cinema-goers have had to go elsewhere to have a meal before or after their movie. With the inclusion of Eagle Boys pizzas, Hoyts offers our guests dinner in a movie, not forcing them to go elsewhere for dinner and a movie. This allows us to offer a truly end-to-end entertainment experience.”

Mr Clayton said the Hoyts partnership with the Express model was a customer-focussed initiative that he hoped would be replicated elsewhere in the market.

“The Hoyts partnership with Express coincides with the biggest menu and brand revamp the Eagle Boys Express model has seen since it was rolled out five years ago and is an
excellent example of two brands working together to improve the customer experience,” Mr Clayton said.

“Not only will it see two of Australia’s most iconic brands unite, but it will ensure customers can access all their entertainment and dining needs under one roof.”
Eagle Boys began reinvigorating and repositioning its Express brand last month in-line with customer demand for greater choice and convenience.

The new Express model featuring an enhanced menu of seven-inch personal pizzas and sides items, will feature at all 47 existing Express stores within the next 12 months, in addition to the four new Hoyts stores.
