The arrival of this year’s festive season is expected to herald a spike in pizza sales as families, friends and co-workers celebrate Christmas, school holidays and New Year’s.
Eagle Boys CEO Todd Clayton said with Australians looking to relax and take a break, they were on the hunt for tasty, convenient and affordable treats.

“Christmas is traditionally one of Eagle Boys’ biggest pizza-eating periods of the year, behind State of Origin and Melbourne Cup,” he said.

“Whether it is with office Christmas parties, catching up with friends or relaxing with family, Australians are looking to have a good time rather than more kitchen time. Pizza fits the bill because it caters to all tastebuds and can be delivered to your door.

“We’re also expecting to see a rise in the volume of orders being placed online because of the added convenience it allows. By ordering online, pizza lovers can arrange their pizzas to be delivered immediately or at a set time during the next fortnight.”

Mr Clayton said Eagle Boys stores would be open across the season to ensure Australians could conveniently get their hands on a restaurant-quality, value-for-money meal.
“Eagle Boys stores across the country have stocked up and put on extra staff to keep up with expected demand,” he said.

“Seafood is a quintessential summer menu item for many Australians so as the season for sun and surf ramps up we’re expecting a huge surge in demand for our seafood pizzas like the new Reef & Beef, Garlic Prawn and the Seafood Platter.

“Or if you prefer more meaty pizzas, pizza lovers can also beef up their orders with our new Meatz Pizza Range. Inspired by flavours from around the world, the range includes the Italiano, Tex Mex and Thai Beef.”

Eagle Boys Pizza is Australia’s second largest pizza maker and is 100% Australian-owned. It operates more than 340 franchised stores throughout Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia, the ACT and the Northern Territory, employing more than 8,000 staff and making more than 18 million pizzas a year.
