What is your background in business to date? What industries did you work in before KUBARZ?
I’ve never owned a business before Kubarz came about, I’ve just always been interested in how businesses ran and functioned and the driving force behind them. I’ve worked in a few different industries, from hardware and manufacturing to retail, outdoor education, hospitality and now being a franchise owner.
Can you tell me how you came to work for KUBARZ?
I was struggling to find my place at Uni and thought that I’m ready to begin my life and set myself up for the future so I looked at businesses that I could possibly start up and came across this golden opportunity. I haven’t looked back yet, I’m really excited.
Where you are from – where were you born and where did you grow up?
I’m from the beautiful Jervis Bay, born at Nowra Hospital and grew up in St Georges Basin and Sanctuary Point. I went to boarding school when I was 14 at Cranbrook School in Sydney after landing an amazing scholarship and graduated in 2013.
Your time with KUBARZ to date – What has it taught you?
It has taught me to step up and take leadership as this business is self-perpetuated. No one else can drive this business but me. Being so young it has taught much more than I can explain.
What are you looking forward in regards to your Kubarz Franchise?
I am looking forward to seeing a massive smile on my customers face and to see them enjoying themselves with their guests. I want people to be able to relax and have a good time, not have a worry in the world. I’m also looking forward to having a great staff team to help me drive this business and provide an experience.
What role will are you playing as a franchisee in terms of building the KUBARZ brand?
As the franchisee I’ll be the main man driving the business and as we’re just starting off and getting our brand well known in the area I’ll be advertising and marketing as much as I can.
Exactly what territories will you cover? Can you explain the parameters of those areas you will be operating in and how you plan to attack those markets?
My territories are quite exciting, I have a large geographical area following the beach line up the coast. From Lake Conjola 10 minutes north of Ulladulla all the way up to Helensburgh. My reach goes as far West as the Highlands and this includes Camden and Campbelltown and Bowral.
What are your hobbies outside work?
Outside of work I love my sports, always love playing some touch footy, basketball and just even going for a run along the beautiful Wollongong Beach. I love travelling and often go on roadtrips taking photos along the way, if I have the time I love to go hiking with my girlfriend.
How do you see your career path developing with KUBARZ?
I feel like Kubarz will help me develop in terms of maturity and experience dealing with the functioning and operating of a business. Being a people person I feel that this is a great career path to go down.
What would you like to say about the interaction you have with Kubarz as the franchisor and the confidence and knowledge they bring to the table?
Our franchisor Drew is such a great guy, he is always one phone call away and is always willing to lend a hand when it’s needed. Coming into this I felt quite nervous as I’ve never done anything like this before but Drew has been there every step of the way and I’m very confident that Drew can help me unlock the potential of Kubarz.
Why do you think KUBARZ is well positioned to be the major player in the marketplace?
Kubarz is a one-stop shop for all functions whether they be corporate or private events from weddings to a little get together, we cater for all. Do you want a photographer to remember your event forever? We have you covered. Do you want a jumping castle for the kids? That’s also covered. We truly care about the customer and making sure they have a function they won’t forget.
