Australians are being urged to throw their support behind the National Breast Cancer Foundation’s Pink Ribbon campaign by treating themselves to a Pink Ribbon Cupcake from Michel’s Patisserie.

Throughout October, Michel’s Patisserie stores across Australia will donate 30 cents from the sale of each Pink Ribbon Cupcake to the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF).

Last year, Michel’s Patisserie sold more than 135,000 cupcakes for the Foundation raising more than $40,000.

Michel’s Patisserie National Marketing Manager Pia Harrison said she hoped Australians would lend their support to this year’s Pink Ribbon campaign, culminating in Pink Ribbon Day on Monday 26 Octo;ber.

“The NBCF is the only national not-for-profit organisation funding research into the prevention, detection and treatment of breast cancer,” she said.

“So many families have been touched by breast cancer and the NBCF is funding a range of research programs to try and prevent breast cancer and improve the quality of life of people diagnosed with breast cancer.

“It’s not everyday you can enjoy a cupcake and help an important national organisation at the same time!”

There are more than 335 Michel’s Patisserie stores operating across Australia, employing about 3,100 staff and serving around 26 million cups of coffee and 9.5 million slices of cake each year. The Michel’s Patisserie franchise network is owned and managed by Retail Food Group (RFG).
