Crust Gourmet Pizza Bar Named Australia’s Tastiest Pizza Chain!
Australian Franchise News - 15-08-17
Self-proclaimed pizza fans on Channel Nine’s Today Show took it upon themselves to perform a taste test of Australia’s leading pizza chains on Sunday in an attempt to identify the tastiest slice, with Crust Gourmet Pizza Bar taking out the title.
For the taste test parameters, the show settled on three popular pizza varieties as their yardstick, including margherita, supreme and meat deluxe, and judged the pizza brands on ease and speed of delivery, size, price and of course, taste.
The Australian pizza market is about as diverse as they come, which makes judging the nation’s tastiest pizza a truly challenging task; however QSR General Manager Renee North said she’s confident Crust’s emphasis on fresh, quality ingredients and sophisticated flavour profiles is the reason why Crust emerged victorious against its competitors.
“Our pizzas are made with proteins that are cooked in-store, fresh produce that is sourced by our franchise partners from local suppliers and surrounding communities and are used to create gourmet flavours which deliver a unique experience unlike any other pizza brand,” she said.
Not only was Crust titled the tastiest pizza chain, but also the pizza chain that delivers the best value for money.
“We have always focused on satisfying our customers by bringing them high quality pizzas with delicious gourmet sides, creating the ultimate dining experience,” Renee said.
“This experience is accentuated by the high standard of customer service from Crust’s passionate franchise partners and in-store team members.”
Crust is no stranger to industry accolades, having also recently received the award for ‘Best Innovation – Food & Beverage’ at the QSR Media Awards, and runner-up for ‘Best Disrupter’ at the Australian Retail Association Awards.
“Our gourmet menu has seen us raise the bar on what consumers can enjoy on a pizza, and awards like these prove that our approach to gourmet pizza resonates with our customers,” Renee said.
