Mortgage Choice franchise owner wins at “Excellence in Franchising” awards

A franchise owner for Australia’s largest independently-owned mortgage broker, Mortgage Choice, has just received one of the highest industry honours for 2009 – an ‘Excellence in Franchising’ award for his dedication to helping children and families affected by cancer.

 

Winner of the Franchise Council of Australia’s national 2009 Franchisee Community Service Award, Greg Campbell from Mortgage Choice in Unley, South Australia, is grateful to be recognised for his ongoing support of, and contribution to, Camp Quality.

 

Announced at a jam-packed ceremony in Perth, the award provided official recognition to Greg for his dedication to philanthropy and outstanding commitment to community service.

 

Mortgage Choice senior corporate affairs manager, Kristy Sheppard said, “Greg’s national award serves as wonderful recognition for his impressive commitment to a much-needed charity. An inspiration to so many in our nationwide franchise network, he passionately supports Camp Quality through all aspects of his franchise business and has done so for some time. We congratulate Greg on his achievements, both business and charitable.”

 

A Camp Quality volunteer for over 11 years, he will continue to use his Mortgage Choice franchise to increase the public’s awareness of the charity and raise funds for its efforts.

 

For every home loan settled by the Unley team, a monetary donation is made to Camp Quality. The support doesn’t stop there; Greg is also heavily involved with fundraising events and activities and hopes to encourage many more small business operators to give a little where they can.

 

“With the support of my customers and passionate team, I’m able to make a small difference to a very worthwhile cause. It’s fantastic to have our contribution acknowledged at a national level by the franchising industry and my peers; I can only imagine what we could achieve if more small business operators got involved in a similar manner,” he said.

 

“Just as I utilise my Mortgage Choice franchise for a terrific cause, I encourage others to draw on everything at their disposal including resources, sponsorship money, donations – big or small – to benefit those in need.

 

“Helping my local community to achieve their property dreams is half of my daily drive, the other half comes from knowing that customer support enables me to contribute more to the families of Camp Quality.
