Mr Rental hits BRW fast franchises list

MR RENTAL’S focus on perfecting its business model and expansion strategy has led to its recognition as one of the country’s fastest growing businesses on the 2011 BRW “Fast Franchises” list.

 

Mr Rental CEO Glen Hickman said it was the first year the company had entered and it was testament to years of strong growth it had been listed alongside Australia’s leading franchises.

 

Mr Rental was the 27th fastest growing franchise by revenue and the 32nd fastest growing by outlets in the latest rankings.

 

“We’ve invested a lot of time and energy into the systems, especially IT and human resources, and redefined the business model to ensure our success,” he said.

 

“The combination of regular Monday to Friday working hours and the peace of mind of recurring revenue that comes from ongoing rental streams have seen Mr Rental become a franchisee lifestyle favourite, and thus helped fuel our growth. Most Mr Rental franchisees are currently experiencing growth in annual profit of almost 20 percent compared to the industry average of 12 percent.

 

Since the home appliance rental company began franchising in 2001 it has enjoyed immense success including winning the coveted 2010 Franchise Council of Australia’s (FCA) Franchisor of the Year award.

 

Mr Rental has 80 stores across Australia and New Zealand.
