Australian owned franchise Noodle Box launches its first ever lunch box meal, designed to tempt the 3.8 million Australians who reportedly don’t take a lunch break*, away from their desks.
The new $8.95 lunch box features a choice of teriyaki stir-fry chicken, beef, tofu or pork, accompanied by rice dusted with sesame seeds. Add to that a choice of spring roll, dim sim or panko-crumbed prawns. The addition of a 600ml soft drink is $3 and water is $1 only.
“We really wanted to inspire the 72 percent of us who choose to eat their lunch at their desk to consider getting up and out, and enjoying fresh Asian-style flavours cooked in a flash,” said Marketing Manager Renee Werner. “It’s better for your state of mind as well as your health.”
To support the roll out of the new product, Noodle Box is running a short competition on their Facebook page encouraging guests to take a picture of their “sad lunch” and to upload them. In return Noodle Box will reward the weirdest, saddest and most peculiar lunches with a voucher to enjoy the flavours of the new lunch box offer.
“We all know that at some point in time we take a miserable lunch with us to work, and we want guests to share with us what they are relying upon to get them through a busy day,” said Renee. “It’s going to be great to be able to unchain people from their desks and reward some with vouchers for a much tastier meal!”
The Noodle Box lunch box offer is available until January 2015.
