PoolWerx has jumped across the Tasman and welcomed franchisee David Doig has the first Tasmanian franchisee for the national pool and spa care network.
David who is PoolWerx’ 113th franchisee will operate in the Hobart region and PoolWerx’ CEO John O’Brien said the expansion into Tasmania was a major achievement for the franchise company and had been in the works for some time.
“Since 2008 PoolWerx franchises have been in every Australian state and territory except Tasmania,” he said. ”So of course the next most obvious opportunity for us within Australian shores was Tasmania.
“Thanks to the existing awareness of the PoolWerx brand and the word-of-mouth marketing prowess of our Hobart franchisee David Doig, he had pool and spa services booked before relocating to Hobart earlier this month from Sydney.”
David, who has worked in various aspects of business for over 20 years, was attracted to franchising as it gave him the freedom to run his own business but also have the support of an established brand and system.
“I had looked at a number of franchise systems including fast food and supermarkets but the opportunity presented by PoolWerx kept coming to the top of my list,” he said.
O’Brien said the response to PoolWerx in the new territory was exciting and all customer feedback had so far been positive.
“Hobart residents have eagerly accepted the new PoolWerx franchise and we expect this mobile service will trigger further expansion within the state, most likely beginning with the opening of an actual PoolWerx retail store in the city.”
