The SIGNARAMA team is growing rapidly and Central Victoria’s Full Service Sign Shop owned by Peter & Vera Reading had many reasons to celebrate along with their team as they moved into the first purpose-built SIGNARAMA sign factory at 80-82 Strickland Road, East Bendigo, Victoria. Having operated from a much smaller facility in Edward street for over 10 years, Reading determined that if he had to move the business to account for it’s growth, he would only do it once – and so embarked on the world first SIGNARAMA project to build his sign-making factory from scratch.
The Grand Opening of the 500m2 facility at Strickland Road was well attended, including the Mayor of the City of Greater Bendigo, Cr Alec Sandner, who unveiled the plaque and officially commissioned the building. Other guests who joined in the celebrations included member SIGNARAMA franchisees from around the country and United Franchise Group’s (franchisor of SIGNARAMA) National Director, Evan Foster.
According to the Reading’s, the new facility provides them an opportunity to consolidate their operation and plan for future expansion of their signage business. The team are proud to be a part of a great franchise that has brought products and services that were earlier only available in metropolitan areas to the regional business community.
Peter & Vera Reading opened SIGNARAMA’S first regional store in Bendigo, Victoria, in June 2001 and acquired a 21 years old “Custom Signs” business based in Kerang in mid 2005. The acquisition extended their client base to the southern New South Wales market and its surround areas including Swan Hill, Cohuna, Moama, and more. Apart from numerous other awards, the Bendigo franchise was recently awarded SIGNARAMA Team Player of the Year Award in recognition of their teamwork within the SIGNARAMA group. They also play an active role in the franchise’s Mentor Program.
