The rollout of Skewerz Kebabz stores across Western Australia has well and truly begun with the opening of a new store at Centro Mandurah last week.

Originally founded in Western Australia in 2010 by developer Aktiv Brands, Skewerz Kebabz is 100% Australian owned and grown and is continuing its expansion across Western Australia and the east coast of Australia.

The Aktiv group had recently acquired The Kebab Co franchise with the Mandurah site the second of these stores to be converted to the Skewerz brand.

“We’re seeing some very encouraging sales from Mandurah already with double the sales in its first week of operation compared to that as The Kebab Co in the same period last year,” says Aktiv Brands Managing Director, Stuart Beechen.

“The focus now will be converting the remaining 7 Kebab Co sites to the Skewerz brand over the next 6 months, with Garden City Booragoon and Westfield Innaloo next on the list,” he said.

“By mid next year we will have at least 10 Skewerz sites Australia wide and will be sourcing new site opportunities and franchisees to help continue the brand’s realistic and sustainable growth path.”

The recent opening at Mandurah takes the total number of Skewerz stores to 4 with 44 sites in the Aktiv portfolio throughout Western Australia, Queensland and New South Wales.
