Tasty Trucks will invest $2M this year as it increases its state-of-the-art fleet of mobile food delivery vans across Australia.
In response to continued growth of customer numbers across its business, Tasty Trucks will build and have in operation 20 new environmentally-friendly vehicles across Melbourne and New South Wales over the next 12 months.
The additional vans will service a greater proportion of Melbourne’s industrial areas, including areas such as Frankston, Mornington & Geelong. Whilst the new vans will help to grow the Tasty Trucks system, it will also provide up to 20 new employment and franchising opportunities.
The new vans were developed over a two-year process by Tasty Trucks Founder, Colin Lear, at a cost of more than $500,000.
Colin’s philosophy over many years has been to continue to invest in the business to ensure Tasty Trucks leads the industry across all areas of the business.
There have been many lunch express vans in the market place over many years; however, none have sustained the growth and reach of Tasty Trucks.
In order to offer a truly outstanding experience to its customers, Tasty Trucks will continue to reinvest and grow the brand.
Tasty Trucks released its franchising model in October last year and just two months ago, announced that it had acquired the Newcastle-based Lunch Express system.
The acquisition of the 17-van Lunch Express business was the start of a national expansion for the 23-year-old Tasty Trucks brand.
Right now, Tasty Trucks has 20 permanent positions available in Melbourne. Van sales managers have the opportunity to franchise at an entry level of $10,000 to $30,000.
Tasty Trucks was established in 1989 and serves more than than 15,000 meals each day and more than one million fresh sandwiches every year from its 86 vans.
