It may have set itself apart from traditional real estate agencies by putting a lid on sales commissions but it seems there’s no capping Go Gecko Property Sales’ success.
The company recognised the outstanding achievements of its staff at an official awards night in Brisbane last month.
Go Gecko chief executive officer Mr Geoff Doyle praised the efforts of his team, commenting on the rapid growth of the company which now boasts 36 offices around Australia and has been the country’s fastest growing franchise businesses for 2009 and 2010.
“We are the fastest growing real estate agency in the country and we’re expanding our market share each day,” said Mr Doyle.
“Some of our franchises have tripled their business in the space of just a few years – despite our brand being relatively unknown compared to traditional agencies in the market place.
“In fact, we are now recruiting real estate agents from well established companies who are keen to jump ship after recognising the strength of our brand and business model,” he said.
Mr Doyle believes a huge shift is taking place in the way the real estate industry operates.
“Go Gecko is at the cutting edge of industry change. We introduced capped commission sales– setting our fee at $5950 and this is having a major impact.
“Our Browns Plains office, which took home the top awards for listings and sales by an office, is achieving amazing results. On any given day they have at around 80-90 homes listed compared to their competitors which are averaging 20-30 listings,” he said.
“Go Gecko Mt Sheridan (Cairns) was recognised for its high appraisal to listing ratio, as was Go Gecko Enoggera – which also won an award for most listings by an individual.
“Our Grange office has been doing exceptionally well when it comes to listing to sales ratios and Go Gecko Boondall took home an award for most sales by an individual. Our Carindale office is also doing well with listing to sales ratios,” he said.
With new offices opening at locations across the country, Mr Doyle said the company was on track to achieve its goal of 60 offices by the end of 2010.
