Howard Storage World franchise continues worldwide expansion

Australian franchisor, Howards Storage World’s European expansion program is in full swing.  On the back of confirming 205 new store openings in 10 European countries, the successful Australian retailer is attending the FranchiseExpoParis from14 to 17March 2010to discuss opportunities with interested European partners.

 

CEO Dirk Spence reiterated his plans to open more than 500 stores across Europe within the next 10 years, as part of Howards Storage World’s global expansion program.  On 16 November, Howards Storage World confirmed their Master Franchisee for Scandinavia (including Norway, Sweden and Denmark).  Whilst existing Masters in Ireland, Spain and the UK all expected to open further stores in 2010.  The Benelux region officially opened the first store in Brussels in October 2009, with initial results highlighting the popularity of this retail concept amongst European consumers.   The second store is now confirmed to open in Liege in March 2010.

 

With “plans to organise the world, one country at a time,” Dirk Spence also today announced new Master Franchise partner in India with a plan to roll out 30 stores over the next five years.  

 

The first Philippines store is on track to officially open on 5 March 2010, with Master Franchise partners, the Robinson Group.

In 1997 Dirk Spence and Les Howard joined forces and began franchising the first concept store in Australia. Today the business has grown to over 60 stores throughout Australia with a goal of more than 100 stores domestically within the next five years. 

 

Howards Storage World Master Franchises have been granted in New Zealand, Spain, Singapore, the Middle East (GCC Territories), The Philippines, Ireland, UK, Benelux (Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg), Scandinavia (Norway, Sweden and Denmark) and now India.

 

Dirk Spence will be in attendance at the Howards Storage World exhibit at the FranchiseExpoParis from14 to 17March 2010at Porte de Versailles Pavilion 3.  In addition to showcasing the concept, Mr Spence also plans to meet with interested parties to discuss franchise opportunities for the brand in France and across all of Europe.
