Mr Rental Capalaba owners Greg and Natalie Nash have taken out the title of ‘QLD/NT Franchisee of the Year’ at the Franchise Council of Australia awards night in Brisbane last Friday.

Mr Nash said he was delighted to win the award after finishing third in the category last year.

“We are thrilled to be recognised with this prestigious award among the many dedicated franchisees across Queensland and it’s great to know our hard work over the past year has paid off,” he said.

He said the team’s constant high level of service and commitment to achieving goals contributed to the success of the business over the past year.

“The whole team works together to achieve our targets and as a result we have had solid sales growth year-on-year. Last financial year we grew sales by 27 percent and experienced 22 percent profit growth.

“All of our success stems from customer service – we have a culture of courtesy and respect and place a strong emphasis on engaging and connecting with customers.”

The ‘QLD/NT Franchisee of the Year’ award recognises outstanding franchisees who have excelled at all aspects of their business including management, performance and franchise citizenship.

Mr and Mrs Nash have also been recognised for their participation within the Mr Rental franchise network and commitment to community service by winning their network’s top award for the last two years running.

“In addition to serving on various franchise committees Mr Rental Capalaba is involved with several charities and local groups including Cancer Council Australia, The Smith Family, the Alexandra Hills AFL Club and St John’s Anglican Church Bulimba.”

Mr Rental CEO Glen Hickman congratulated Mr and Mrs Nash on the award win and said they were a huge asset to the Mr Rental franchise.

“Greg and Natalie have a wealth of experience in running a successful business, providing support to fellow franchisees and getting involved in the franchise at a corporate level and they are some of the best franchisees in the country,” he said.

Mr Nash said the award gave them a boost of confidence and motivation that would bolster their business.

“It’s a huge encouragement receiving recognition for all of our hard work and we want to continue what we do, helping out people in the community and providing much needed, affordable rentals to people in the area.”

The state win means the couple are in the running for the ‘FCA National Franchisee of the Year’ award to be announced in October.
