Why I chose franchising
I was an existing student as Pole Divas and loved the structure and content of the classes. Everyone was so friendly and supportive. Also the brand was already established with models to follow.
What I did before taking up a franchise
I studied and travelled and my experience let me to realise that a Pole Divas franchise could be very successful and lucrative. I was also a dancer in other styles, plus tutored Maths so I loved teaching!
How I raised the finance
I received amazing support from my family, plus I had established some of my own savings
The training and support I receive from my franchisor
I receive ongoing support, including an Operations Manual and initial training at the Head Office which helped me to understand how everything works. As I was already a teacher, I was prepared to take classes straight away. The most beneficial area of support is that each studio shares instructors, that’s something I would never get any where else.
The challenges I have faced
Mainly, I have realised that I always need to be available! I can’t just walk away and leave the responsibility for someone else.
My advice to someone thinking of buying his or her first franchise
Do the research, make a list for and against taking on the franchise to make sure it’s your passion. Also crunch the numbers to make sure it’s still a profitable business for you.
My plans for the future
More studios!! First in my own venue and then in other regions!!
