Ali Baba franchise recruits top dietitian

Australia’s largest kebab franchise Ali Baba has appointed leading Australian Dietitian & Exercise Physiologist, Joanne Turner M.Sc (Nutr. Diet & Ex.Rehab.), APD, AccSD.

The partnership supports the wider brand strategy and aims to ensure all food products are nutritionally balanced, without losing the great taste and authentic Lebanese flavours Ali Baba has become famous for.

Dominic Cain, National Operations Manager at Ali Baba says about the partnership, “Joanne Turner is one of the country’s top nutrition experts; so clearly we are delighted to have her on board”.

Joanne will assist Ali Baba with product development, as well as reviewing the current menu.

Mrs Turner, who is also the owner of NuActive Health, comments: “Ali Baba and I have been talking for some time now, and it’s exciting to implement some of our ideas.

As the brand owns the entire paddock-to-plate process and has remained committed to serving top quality produce, Ali Baba already has a huge advantage. I am looking forward to unlocking the brands full potential from a nutritional perspective”.

Mr Cain continues, “Our products have always been high quality, low in saturated fat, low in sugar and free from artificial ingredients, but like any good food franchise should, we are continually looking at ways to improve our recipes. Joanne has been working with us on some exciting new menu items which we’re looking forward to introducing later this month”.

Earlier in the year the brand launched a sodium reduction policy and has already lowered salt content by over 25 per cent.
