EAGLE Boys Express has further established its position as a value booster for convenience stores with an opening at NightOwl Brunswick Street in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley marking its 46th store.

The opening follows a successful launch of the Eagle Boys Express offer at NightOwl Albert Street in late May 2014 as part of the NightOwl brand’s “Store of the Future” refurbishment program.

NightOwl Brunswick Street features this new format to incorporate Eagle Boys Express to provide pizzas, southern style chicken, pulled meat rolls and extended meal items to commuters and workers across breakfast, lunch and dinner.

NightOwl Commercial Manager Dean Atkins said Eagle Boys Express had already made a positive impact at the Albert Street store, and he looked forward to seeing similar results at Brunswick Street.

“Since we’ve incorporated Eagle Boys Express into selected NightOwl stores, the outlets have achieved increased revenue as we roll out the ‘Store of the Future’ refurbishment program,” Mr Atkins said.

Since incorporating the Express store into NightOwl Albert Street, the franchisee has witnessed an increase of 30% in hot food sales.

“Eagle Boys Express allows stores to expand hot food offerings and this encourages customer loyalty, while helping our franchisees succeed. Eagle Boys Express adds value to our NightOwl stores through the partnering of two national brands,” Mr Atkins said.

By the end of this quarter, Eagle Boys Express will open in fellow Brisbane store, NightOwl Windsor with NightOwl Cairns Esplanade to follow.

Eagle Boys Express Brand Manager Robin Heslehurst said it was exciting to see NightOwl’s results and that it was helping business owners in retail outlets succeed across the country.

“Retail is an increasingly competitive industry and the Eagle Boys Express System provides business owners a way to increase their income without significant cost or labour outlay,” he said.

“We look forward to continuing to grow Eagle Boys Express’ presence in NightOwl stores and in other retail outlets across Australia.”

Eagle Boys Express is a proven success model in a number of other outlets including Brisbane, Sydney and Perth airports, while boosting product offering for customers and revenue for business owners in cinemas, petrol stations and catering businesses.

In August, further openings in Queensland will include Caltex Yabulu, north of Townsville and Hoyts Cinemas at Stafford City Shopping Centre in north Brisbane.

“Eagle Boys Express continues to build momentum and we are rapidly approaching the 50 store mark, with the goal to be at 60 by the end of the year,” Mr Heslehurst said.

Eagle Boys Express stores can be incorporated into businesses using existing equipment.

“We train current staff to prepare and serve the product and the best thing is, you don’t need to employ extra team members to manage an Express Store,” Mr Heslehurst said.
