Australia’s second largest pizza maker, Eagle Boys Pizza yesterday (Thursday, 24 March) cooked up Australia’s largest “out of the box” sculpture made entirely out of Eagle Boys pizza boxes and packaging.
Brisbane’s King George Square came alive as sculptors Rodd Brennan & Crew transformed over 5000 Eagle Boys? pizza boxes and packaging into a 3.25m2 pizza box sculpture to launch the franchisor’s new gourmet pizza range.
Complete with eight slices of pizza topped with key ingredients from the range, CBD commuters were eager to get a glimpse of the oversized pizza box while satisfying their taste buds with some tantalizing pizza samplers.
Eagle Boys CEO Todd Clayton said Eagle Boys’ new gourmet range was aimed at stopping gourmet pizza price gouging.
“Eagle Boys believes Aussie gourmet pizza lovers have been ripped off for far too long. Having real, quality and fresh ingredients on your pizza shouldn’t mean you’re slugged with a hefty price tag,” Mr Clayton said.
“Recognising Australians’ growing appetite for quality food, Eagle Boys’ new 18 gourmet pizzas include lip-smacking toppings like Tandoori Chicken, Spanish Tapas, Seafood Platter with Moreton Bay Bug, and Salmon and Avocado,” he said.
