In a move to bring the ‘catch of the day’ to dinner tables around the nation, Australia’s second largest pizza maker, Eagle Boys Pizza, has cooked up a new range of gourmet seafood pizzas.
Featuring ingredients like whole Moreton Bay bugs, salmon steaks and marinated calamari and prawns, the ‘catch of the day’ range includes pizzas like Seafood Platter, Salmon & Avocado and Garlic Prawn.
Eagle Boys CEO Todd Clayton said the seafood range was part of Eagle Boys commitment to bring fresh ingredients and gourmet produce to customers without the hefty price tag.
“Seafood is a quintessential menu item for many Australians – we enjoy the delicacies of the ocean as a regular part of our beach lifestyle,” Mr Clayton said.
“Eagle Boys’ latest range of gourmet pizzas brings the ‘catch of the day’ that much closer to hungry pizza lovers, ensuring sun, surf and seafood can be enjoyed simultaneously,” he said.
Recognising Australians penchant for seafood, but distaste for overpriced pizza, Mr Clayton said the new gourmet pizzas were up to half the price of gourmet pizzas cooked up by other pizza makers, priced from just $10.95.
“Having a sublime seafood platter on your pizza shouldn’t mean you’re slugged with paying over $20 for a pizza,” he said.
“Eagle Boys is constantly updating its menu to give Australians the fresh ingredients, and real value they expect, to make this our most sizzling menu yet.”
Mr Clayton said Eagle Boys was campaigning for the pizza market’s middle ground with a real taste, real size and real value menu offering.
“Our innovative menu is certainly on the pulse and trend of modern cuisine with its sophisticated and stylish toppings that we’re sure will appeal to a wide range of palates,” he said.
“Combined with our traditional offerings, Eagle Boys ensures it provides a great choice for everyone, regardless of budget or occasion.”
Eagle Boys Pizza is Australia’s second largest pizza maker and is 100% Australian-owned. It operates more than 335 franchised stores throughout Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia, the ACT, and the Northern Territory, employing more than 8,000 staff and making more than 17 million pizzas a year.
