Starting at 5am last Thursday, the Go Sushi and Kick! Juice crew unknowingly prepared for the busiest opening day on record. Opening along with the newly developed Stockland Hervey Bay, Franchise Partners, Stephen and Rosemary along with their daughter and son in law Samantha and Shane, busily prepared their cabinet full of freshly rolled sushi and stocked Kick Juice with fresh fruit and vegetables.
As the centre opened, the crowds began to swell until only the Go Sushi sign could be seen by passers-by. With queues up to 18 people deep, the team worked swiftly with their heads down and smiles on their faces to make sure no one would walk away hungry or thirsty. At the end of their 15 hour day, exhausted but happy, they had sold 851 sushi rolls, served over 580 customers, had a visit from the mayor, gone through 6 boxes of oranges and 100 pineapples.
“It was absolutely hectic! We knew our community here in Hervey Bay were excited for us to open but we could have never predicted just how much! We went through a week’s worth of stock in a day and made over $30,000 within the first 3 days!
