Why did you go down the franchise route? And why did you choose your V.I.P. F&HM franchise?

Advertising was taken care off along with offering support therefore I was able to focus on getting into the understanding and building how the business works.

What did you do before taking up a V.I.P. F&HM franchise?

National Project Coordinator for a leading Waste manufacturing company.

How did you raise the finance?

Finance through bank.

What training and support did you receive initially and ongoing?

Training on how to be self-sufficient with paperwork and managing work/jobs. Hands on training on how to successfully complete a task to a high standard of quality.

What is a typical day for you as a V.I.P. F&HM franchisee?

Wake up, check emails, drive to site, answer and make call during the day, quote in the afternoon/evening, answer emails at night along with invoicing and ordering material for upcoming jobs.

What challenges have you faced?

Working alone.

Has becoming a V.I.P. F&HM franchisee changed your life, if so how?

Yes, as it has allowed me to spend time with my young family.

What marketing/promotional tools do you use to grow your V.I.P. F&HM franchise?

Using the VIP signage on the vehicle and trailer.

Clean vehicles, training, pride in brand, quality work, professional image.

In your opinion, what makes a successful franchisee?

Dedication to all aspects of the franchise, taking pride in your work, going beyond the expectations of the client.

What advice would you give to someone thinking of buying their first franchise?

Understand that there could be a big change from the work that you are currently completing. Ensure that you have the backing and full support from your family.

What are your plans for the future?

Sustain the work life balance with the prospect of adding personnel to the business.
