International home appliance rental franchise Mr Rental has increased its consumer brand awareness to 47 percent, according to a recent independent study.
Research agency Colmar Brunton revealed Mr Rental’s total brand awareness in Australia and New Zealand rose by 3 percent and 4 percent respectively since last year, while direct competitors didn’t experience any growth.
Mr Rental CEO Glen Hickman, who founded the company almost 20 years ago from his garage on Bribie Island, Queensland said simple and effective communication resulted in better consumer awareness over the years.
“When you provide a great service, have an identifiable brand and use simple and consistent communication across all platforms people remember you,” he said.
71 percent of Australians surveyed first heard of Mr Rental through television advertising. Tasmania recorded the greatest share of people who recognised Mr Rental (60 percent) followed closely by Western Australia (52 percent).
