Just six months after the spectacular opening of the first Gelatissimo outlet in the Middle East, the local response has been so overwhelming that two more gelaterias have opened their doors in quick succession.
The second gelateria situated in the Al Liwan Mall, Egaila, is an ideal location as it is surrounded by many families and a nearby university population. The third gelateria is located in the exclusive up-market Al Hamra Mall in Kuwait City’s Central Business District.
All three locations have witnessed locals clambering to enjoy the traditional Middle Eastern flavours such as pistachio, honey, fig and cardamom, as well as Gelatissimo’s core flavours and Australian delights such as wattle, eucalyptus, mango and macadamia.
“We always planned to open a number gelaterias in the Governorate of Kuwait over a period of time. However the amazing feedback we received after opening our first gelateria provided us with the incentive and motivation for opening the next two gelaterias as quickly as possible,” says Gelatissimo Kuwait General Manager Mr Saqer Saeed.
“We are very confident that Gelatissimo will continue to be a big success in Kuwait and the region,” he said.
Joint CEO, Domenico Lopresti believes the Middle East is a region that is an excellent fit for Gelatissimo’s artisan gelato product.
“We see the expansion of the Master Franchise in Kuwait as a sign of acceptance into the Middle East market by its people and we are excited to be opening more territories in the region coming on line very soon.” says Domenico.
